Faris 9yo 16.1 Hanoverian by Feiner Stern

Faris came to me through my dressage trainer Karen McGolderick. She informed me of a really nice horse that may be a candidate for eventing.  It was love at first sight with his adorable face and those big puppy dog eyes. But the only problem is that I cannot afford really nice horses. There are often problems that others can not work out, in which I  have the patience to fix.

Faris was imported from Germany as a 5yo for an amateur to do dressage, however that relationship unfortunately did not work .He was purchased as an investment horse for dressage and  hunters, but to my advantage that did not work either.  Faris, who is extremely talented, managed to flunk out of both dressage and hunter school. His only option left was eventing. Thankfully his owner decided to donate him to me through the American Horse Trials Foundation.

Our relationship has started off quite well and Faris is proving to be a great event horse. He absolutely LOVES the cross country phase, and I am working on his problems with dressage (he tends to be a peroscope--which I think stems from chiropractic problems). So far he has placed 5th at his second novice and his future is looking bright as an upper level horse. Faris does have some challenges, as he has some big shoes to fill while Jackson and Leap of Faith are on rest. Faris has so much personality and heart I believe he will be an eventing star!Look out for us in the future!
